The Only "PADDLE-ONLY" Resort
The Kawishiwi Lodge property
adjoins the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the Superior National Forest. All of our cabins are completely
equipped for housekeeping. Each cabin includes bed linens and blankets, refrigerators with freezers, stoves with ovens,
cooking, eating, and baking utensils, toasters, microwaves and coffee makers. Complete bath and shower facilities provide
the basic convenience of home in a wilderness setting. Kettle style BBQ's are available at each cabin along with fire
rings and picnic tables. Firewood is also available, free of charge. There is a sauna available upon request
anytime, for NO CHARGE! The kids will enjoy the swimming beaches and playground.
Your stay
with us includes FREE day use travel permits which are required for entering the BWCAW- Superior National Forest by
the U.S. Forest Service. Permits can be picked up at Kawishiwi Lodge upon check in, no reservation necessary.
Weekly cabin rentals include 1 Standard Grumman 17' Aluminum canoe (2 person), 2 paddles and 2 life
jackets unless otherwise noted. Extra paddles and life jackets will be provided as needed, free of charge. Additional
canoes available upon request for an extra charge. Day use kayaks are complimentary for all cabin guests, they are located
on the main beach.
The management reserves
the right to limit the number of people per cabin for safety and comfort.

Lodge's cleaning staff uses all environmentally friendly EcoSense cleaning products & we also cater to the needs of chemically
sensitive guests.
Low Tech rooms: Instead of TVs, radios, telephones, and clocks, Kawishiwi Lodge provides
tranquil views of nature at it's finest from cabin porches and docks. Guests can access a phone in the lodge.
The phone is available before and after regular business hours, remember to bring a calling card for long distance
phone calls. There is a game room featuring a pool table, arcade games, library, juke box and Wi-Fi Internet
in the lodge. The lodge also has Sir G's Italian Pizza, soda, beer, candy, chips, snacks, bait, t-shirts, sweatshirts
and other souvenirs for sale.

Sorry, we DO NOT allow pets. We also don't have campsites, therefore
no tents are allowed.
